San Jose Theaters

San Jose Theaters is a project of Team San Jose, a non-profit operations and management company who manages and operates city-owned performing arts venues. San Jose Theaters is responsible for the Montgomery Theater, California Theatre, the San Jose Civic and the Center for the Performing Arts, all located in the heart of downtown San Jose. San Jose Theaters approached Ari Salomon to redesign their site to make it easier to update and promote their ongoing stream of events. The new site allows for sorting and subscribing to events via a variety of criteria and also lets management respond quickly to schedule changes as well as actively promote their rental...

Amy X Neuburg

AMY X NEUBURG (Oakland, California) has been developing her own brand of irreverently genre-crossing works for voice, live electronics and chamber ensembles for over 25 years, known for her innovative use of live looping technology with electronic percussion, her 4-octave vocal range and her colorful — often humorous — lyrics. Amy has had a amazingly full career so far, and her old site lacked the organization and structure to showcase her many compositions, audio, video and history. Retaining a whimsical, quirky quality, Amy’s new site sprinkles colorful images throughout a solid structure which makes finding information about her artistry – past, present, and future – available at a glance. Jenny Chai

Contemporary pianist Jenny Q Chai needed a dynamic site to match an international career spanning the US, Europe and China. “I feel a sense of contentment programming creative concerts,” says Chai, “mixing and matching old and new works, so as to highlight what is most special in each piece. After all, nothing comes from nothing, and new music is very much connected to that which came before.” Like all of our new sites at PerformSites, jennychai.com is responsive, which means that the site will look and work well on a variety of screen sizes and form factors (e.g. mobile, tablet, netbook laptop and desktop). IHOS Opera

In 2010, IHOS Music Theatre & Opera, based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, celebrated its 20th anniversary season. Ready for a higher functioning site that really showcased the company’s striking visual style, IHOS sought to feature audio and video tracks, highlighting individual works from their repertoire. IHOS received pro bono branding and site graphic design from Envelope Group (Australia) and chose PerformSites to implement Envelope’s striking designs and create a strong foundation through a WordPress site with newly edited content. This site really shined a light on the visuals, audio/video, and descriptive text related to these works. NOTE: this site is no longer in service, but feel free to look at the visuals provided on this page for a glimpse into its workings....

New York City Gay Men’s Chorus...

PerformSites recently launched a unique new web site for the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, providing innovative solutions to bring this organization’s site into the 21st century. The organization needed a clean, hip and streamlined new look and had recently begun a branding process including a great new logo. Critical business issues that they face include maximizing ticket sales and marketing upcoming shows – both of which were boosted by the new site’s dynamic interface. They also chose PerformSites because they liked the easy-to-use WordPress CMS (content management system). This allows any authorized member of the staff to add, modify and update nearly all sections of the site at any time they...
