Association of Arts Admin...

The Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE) represents college and university graduate and undergraduate programs in arts administration, encompassing training in the management of visual, performing, literary, media, cultural and arts service organizations. Founded in 1975, the AAAE was created to provide a forum for communication among its members and advocate formal training and high standards of education for arts administrators. The Association publishes member research in arts management and administration to strengthen the understanding of arts management issues in the academic and professional fields. AAAE approached PerformSites to redesign their site to make it easier to manage their stream of content. Their old site was hard to update and offered few options for the public to sort and search for member programs, jobs and publications. The WordPress-based system we built allows all members to login and update their profiles and other content without ever seeing the WordPress admin interface. A customized set of permissions integrates with their FreshBooks account and their other accounting needs around collecting membership dues, jobs listing fees and more. Visit live...

Amy X Neuburg

AMY X NEUBURG (Oakland, California) has been developing her own brand of irreverently genre-crossing works for voice, live electronics and chamber ensembles for over 25 years, known for her innovative use of live looping technology with electronic percussion, her 4-octave vocal range and her colorful — often humorous — lyrics. Amy has had a amazingly full career so far, and her old site lacked the organization and structure to showcase her many compositions, audio, video and history. Retaining a whimsical, quirky quality, Amy’s new site sprinkles colorful images throughout a solid structure which makes finding information about her artistry – past, present, and future – available at a glance. Meredith Miller

Variously referred to as the “Buster Keaton of Chanteuses” and “the demented love-child of Marlene Dietrich and Lucille Ball,” American singer/performer Meredith Miller evokes a classic, old-fashioned, 1930s glamour that is both stately and timeless. Miller wanted a classy, elegant, but also showy site. We started with a starry background, created audio/video galleries to highlight each of her “acts” and focused on the beauty and glamour of a bygone era, which Miller exemplifies. Visit live...

Through exhibitions, commissions, artist residencies, and education programs, FOR-SITE supports the creation and presentation of innovative art about place. Recent high profile projects include Andy Goldsworthy in the Presidio and International Orange at Fort Point. The site was a team collaboration with Ari Salomon leading development. The connection between current and past projects and the display of “parent” and “child” projects required a deep investigation and reworking of how the organization presents its core projects. Interconnected artists, projects and news items make for a smooth way to navigate deep content. This project was coordinated with an update to their branding and designed to accomodate a change of focus of the organization as it grew into it’s second decade. Visit live...

Plus her old site didn’t allow her to update her posts effectively and often enough. Erica invested in some excellent new photos and with her new site, we were able to truly highlight each of her distinct projects and collaborations while separating and showcasing her News and Events.
